official launch of the ‘Collective Action for Disability Rights” (CADiR) Program

The government, through the Minister of Community Development and Social Services, officially launched the ‘Collective Action for Disability Rights” (CADiR) Program on 7th May 2025 in Lusaka. The CADiR Program is a five-year initiative supported by Atlas Alliance, a group of Norwegian Partners. A Country group comprised of Archie Hinchcliffe Disability Intervention (AHDI), Bauleni Special Needs Project (BSNP), Disability Rights Watch (DRW), Norwegian Association of Disabled Zambia (NADZ), Papaya Kay Foundation (PKF), Zambia Association for Employment of Persons with Disabilities (ZAEPD), Zambia Federation of Disability Organisations (ZAFOD) and Zambia Association of Parents for Children with Disabilities (ZAPCD) will implement this project, ensuring that it advances disability inclusion and persons with disabilities enjoy their rights on an equal basis with others.

AHDI will implement the program in Chibombo, Rufunsa and Luangwa Districts under the themes of inclusive education, economic empowerment and human rights advocacy.
